Natural Gas Purification Plant

The gathering and purification of natural gas are central to the gas industry. By consolidating production from scattered wells through gathering pipelines, transportation costs per well are reduced, while large-scale purification spreads processing expenses (e.g., desulfurization, dehydration) across higher gas volumes.

Purified gas ensures stable calorific value, preventing incomplete combustion in end-use applications (e.g., boilers, gas turbines), which could otherwise reduce efficiency. Byproducts extracted during purification (e.g., sulfur, condensate, LPG) can be sold for additional revenue, while high-purity gas (methane >90%) commands premium prices in markets like LNG exports.

Purified gas also enables:

High-pressure pipeline transport (improving efficiency and cutting energy costs)

Flexible conversion into LNG (liquefaction), CNG (compression), or chemical feedstocks (e.g., methanol, ammonia synthesis)
